Golf on Par for Success

A mixed team of six golfers from Stamford Endowed Schools travelled to Waltham Windmill Golf Club to compete in the Lincolnshire Schools Golf Championship. Despite enduring tough conditions, all pupils played fantastically and achieved some brilliant scores.Hugo Kedzlie won the Boy’s Championship with an impressive bogey-free, 3 under-par round; Eleanor Haughton finished the day in first place in the Girl’s Championship; closely followed by Matilde Kedzlie who came runner-up.A special mention goes to the entire team who came runners-up in the overall team competition, sadly missing out by just one shot to a strong-sided Carre’s Grammar School.Miss Haslam, Golf Coach, commented, "This was a brilliant achievement for golf at SES. We wish the team all the best of luck in the Regional Finals taking place on the 1
st of June at Cleckheaton Golf Club".
