Virtual house competitions at Stamford High School are continuing to be a weekly occurrence, albeit virtually, whilst pupils and staff learn and teach from home.House competitions occur weekly and the first few weeks of term have seen the students take part in a wide array of activities and competitions. The competitions included an online jigsaw competition (where students were timed to complete a jigsaw of Stamford Town the quickest) as well as creative competitions, where students enjoyed a 'Make your Head of House Smile' photography competition. The winning photograph, above, was taken by Anna S, Year 10.Runners up were as follows: Jemima M, Year 8, with her bunny at work.

and Octavia P, Year 12 (featuring Charlotte C, also Year 12) out in the snow:
The wellbeing competition also proved popular, which encouraged students to spend some time away from their screens and record and submit their daily step count. Following the success of this final task, pupils are now benefiting from wellbeing afternoons once a week where they are encouraged to get outside and spend time away from their screen.Well done to all those who have been involved in the competitions so far, demonstrating that although the competitions are virtual, the competitive spirit is still very much alive! To read more news from Stamford High School, please click
