Climbing the height of Everest, aged nine

We are proud to share the story of our incredible Year 4 pupil Arthur. Despite living with low grade brain tumours since just before his third birthday, enduring countless medical procedures, two brain surgeries, chemotherapy, and dealing with right-side weakness, Arthur’s spirit remains unbreakable.

A lover of animals, the great outdoors, and a huge fan of Formula 1 and Top Gear, Arthur’s condition is currently stable and he has set himself an incredible challenge for 2024: to climb British peaks totalling the height of Mount Everest – a staggering 8,849 metres – in support of The Brain Tumour Charity’s Everest Centre, a research centre dedicated to low grade childhood brain tumours.

He has already conquered Scafell Pike, the Peak District, and the Yorkshire Dales and after recently conquering Snowdon, Arthur’s total now stands at over 6,000m and he has 2,725m left to go to Everest!

Check out his parent-run Instagram here @arthurseverest or visit his donation page, where he has already raised over £22,000, to learn more about his amazing story and see the updates as they come in.

We are incredibly proud of you Arthur!
