Chase sees success on the court
Chase B, a Year 10 student at Stamford School has seen success in his new hobby, Racketlon, winning a National Under 16s event.Racketlon is a tournament of the smallest to largest racket play, including table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis. Each discipline is played to 21 points and the player to accumulate the most points across all four games wins.Chase hadn't heard of racketlon before Stamford School hosted their first National Racketlon Event in early October. He entered the U16 tournament and won, finding his new passion for the sport.Having played tennis since he was seven, Chase is privileged to play for his county, including 18U county training this year. However, during the summer holidays Chase eased off tennis to pursue his skills in squash.Having entered his second squash tournament playing for the 18U team at Stamford School, he was assessed by County officials and selected to represent Lincolnshire.With a variety of different racket sport skills, Chase won the National Racketlon 16U Event in Hertfordshire.Chase has also had some impressive accomplishments in tennis and fives recently.In August, he won the the 14U Singles Tennis County Championship for Lincolnshire as well as winning the 14U Doubles Championship both held at Boston Tennis Club.Chase also reached the final in the National 14U Fives singles tournament and won the National 14U doubles tournament with his partner Cam.For more news on tennis, please click
