Charlotte takes silver at National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships
Stamford High School student, Charlotte Bolton (Year 11), gained silver at the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships at the Copper Box Arena, Olympic Park, London on 15th March. Rowing for Stamford High School, Charlotte achieved the second fastest result in the U16 category of 1,599 metres in six minutes; at the same competition last year in the U15 category, she achieved a bronze medal rowing 1,313 metres in 5 minutes. Charlotte has gone from strength to strength in the last year and since her selection for the GB Rowing Development Programme, Charlotte has earned multiple medals including setting a new GB record and gaining gold in the mixed junior relay at the British Rowing Indoor Championship (BRIC) in December.Head of Sport at Stamford High School, Maria Bewers, commented: ‘This is an excellent achievement from Charlotte and so deserving after all her hard work and dedication. She has progressed hugely in such a short period of time and we look forward to watching her compete soon.
