Year 13 students at the Stamford Endowed Schools have achieved a pass rate of 96.7% at grades A*-C in this year’s A Level assessments.
172 students were assessed for 531 qualifications, including A Levels, BTECs and the Extended Project Qualification, which allows students to complete an independent study project assessed through a dissertation-style submission.
Will Phelan, Principal of the Stamford Endowed Schools, said: “My congratulations to every Stamford student receiving results today. Every one of them has persevered for the past eighteen months in circumstances which no other cohort has ever had to deal with – and, we hope – will never have to face again.
“Maintaining effort and working for results over a period of weeks and months is harder in many ways than the artificial process of exams, and is far better preparation for life. Our Stamfordians have shown real grit, determination, and a work ethic that they can be proud of.
“All of us at Stamford look forward to following their futures – whether through university, careers, apprenticeships, or taking time to explore the world – and we are cheering them on today as they prepare to take their first steps towards their next adventures.”
