Discovery Mornings are a chance to explore the School on a normal working day.

You and your family will tour the School in the company of one of our pupils and will meet the senior team over tea and coffee.

Junior School (Reception – Year 6):
Wednesday 15 May 8.45am – 10am

Spaces at a Discovery Morning are limited so that you can have as much time as you need to see the School at your own pace and discuss your child as an individual.

5x Victory for Stamford

The week was concluded on Saturday, yet again, by a decisive match of rugby, as Stamford were pitched against another historic rival. This time Stamford, gaining ever-more confidence after their victory against Oakham, faced Stowe School.The First XV produced a highly efficient first half performance, having worked on their attacking game in training. Early pressure from the carrying of Dudley, Alsop and Clayton cleared a path for Tom Charsley-Evans to slice through and convert his own effort. The forwards took charge of the breakdown and claimed a score of their own, as Alfie Shaw dived over, following great work at the line out. Again, great control followed through Agnew and Van Uden and territory led to points, as Ed Cox finished off a great move down the short side - started by the, ever present, No.8 (Dave Koelman).A break away try, just before half time, gave Stowe a small glimmer of hope. Stamford was quick to snuff it, with some great work from the restart seeing the forwards yet again reap havoc. Stowe’s defense was parted for Charsley-Evans to dart under the posts, who converted his score to make it 28-5. Neither team placed down again and the game was concluded with triumph for Stamford.The First XV coach David Laventure was pleased for his players: “The boys clearly wanted to back up last weeks win with another forward step, in terms of a better performance, and they did just that on attack. They’re doing some really good things at the right time.” There were also wins from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th XVs, forming five victories to defend home soil.
