It is completely free to have a listing in the Directory. This is our way of supporting your business in recognition of your connection with the Schools.
We are happy to update your listing whenever you need us to. Please contact our Alumni Relations and Development Team who will be able to update your details and make any changes necessary in the directory.
Yes. Businesses are listed by category – as long as you are the owner there is no limit to the number that we can include for you.
Yes: listings are only available to current and former parents and Old Stamfordians. However, if you don’t have a direct link to the Schools, you can still become a Stamford Card Partner.
Unfortunately not: the Directory is specifically designed to support businesses owned by members of the School community. However, you can still become a Stamford Card Partner.
The Directory is free of charge and is our way of being able to support your business. There is absolutely no expectation or requirement that you should give something back. However, some of our directory partners do ask us about this, and there are a number of ways you can choose to support the schools and the wider Stamford community: by becoming a partner in the Stamford Card, by becoming a Corporate Stamford Card Member, or by becoming a corporate donor. Details of these are below, but please contact our community team to discuss the opportunities available.
The Stamford Card is a benefits card that gives holders special discounts and benefits at more than 125 local businesses, and helps us to raise money for the SES fee assistance programme. Partners can join the scheme completely free of charge, but must offer a benefit to card holders. We promote the card, and our partners, to the School and the Stamford community. You can find out more here. To enquire about becoming a partner, please email us.
The Stamford Card can be an extremely attractive addition to your employee benefits package. To discuss how this could work for you and your business, please contact our community team at community@ses.lincs.sch.uk.
Over the years, numerous businesses have generously supported the School and our students by making gifts to help fund means-tested fee assistance and new capital developments. Corporate giving can be a key part of a business’ CSR programme, and we always work with donors to ensure that your gift is directed to a cause that is important to you. Companies can claim tax relief on gifts to charities, and we have a recognition programme in place to thank our corporate donors and keep you informed of the impact your gift is making. Donations are always extremely welcome. To explore this in more detail, please contact our community team at community@ses.lincs.sch.uk.
We will enhance any donation you make by claiming Gift Aid – as long as you confirm with us that you are a UK taxpayer. This means that your donation is worth an extra 25% to us i.e. a donation from you of £1,000 is worth £1,250 to the Schools. And please remember, if you are a higher rate taxpayer, you are able to claim tax relief on your donation. If this applies to you, a gift of £5,000 is worth £6,250 to us and you are able to reclaim £1,250 from your original donation, so the total cost to you will be £3,750.
For additional information about this, please feel free to refer to this guide from the Government website.
No, we cannot become directly involved in any concerns or disputes with specific businesses. These must be raised with the company directly, or through other channels as may be appropriate.
