Discovery Mornings are a chance to explore the School on a normal working day.
You and your family will tour the School in the company of one of our pupils and will meet the senior team over tea and coffee.
Junior School (Reception – Year 6):
Wednesday 15 May 8.45am – 10am
Spaces at a Discovery Morning are limited so that you can have as much time as you need to see the School at your own pace and discuss your child as an individual.
Tony Munns Art is an online gallery of original paintings and limited edition prints, for all lovers of the sea and the coast. My passion to paint the sea and other nautical subjects is driven by a love of all things water-based – starting with a childhood (and later adulthood) fascination with hovercraft, then moving on to working in the cruise industry, owning a few boats and now just enjoying being on a beach with a paddleboard! With most of my artworks I like to try and go beyond just a pretty picture, and to introduce a narrative or story that adds a little intrigue or something unusual. This might be a man-made element, or sometimes people, just to take the image beyond what a photograph might capture and to add something extra. I generally use acrylics on stretched canvas, and often adopt a dry brush technique in the closing stages of a piece to add a more ‘sketchy’ quality to certain areas or features (for example, clouds or spray). I am currently working on a series of canvasses and prints called ‘Fred and Joan’. These paintings tell the story of an elderly couple’s retirement to the coast, and how they spend their days reminiscing and enjoying the seaside. There are about 7 ‘Fred and Joans’ so far with more to come! By way of professional background, I am a Graphic Designer who has worked with many big brands in agencies and in-house studios for the best part of 40 years.
